Purdue OWL
The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University provides writing resources and instructional material to you free of charge. This service is provided by the Writing Lab at Purdue. You can locate information to assist in many writing projects. Teachers and trainers may use this material for in-class and out-of-class instruction.
Edwards Award
Established in 1988, the Margaret A. Edwards Award honors an author, as well as a his or her work, for its significant and lasting contribution to YA lit. This award is given annual and is sponsored by School Library Journal magazine. It recognizes an author's work in helping adolescents become ore self-aware and addressing questions about their role and significance in relationships, society, and the world.
Printz Award
The Michael L. Printz Award is an award for books that exhibit literary excellence within YA lit. book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature. It is named for a Topeka, Kansas school librarian who was a long-time active member of the Young Adult Library Services Association. The award is sponsored by Booklist, a publication of the American Library Association.
